No doubt, Friend, no doubt.

Isaiah 41:4d I was there at the beginning; I will be there at the end.  CEV

Ever wonder if God is really involved in our affairs? We run through life pretending that we have all the controls. People do what people do. And then we figure we really have no control, but influence.

God has influence also. He can also exert control and does at seemingly odd and unexplainable moments. Our ways are not His ways and our thoughts are not His thoughts. The preference of God is to let us work out our lives with the principles He has given. They work. Principles of justice and mercy and truth and compassion and mercy and goodness and gentleness and kindness and self control all work.

Well, they work, Friend, when we live by them. They do prevail over evil and spite and anger and malice and jealously and ill intent. They really do.

Sometimes, we need miracles. Intervention is required.

When you reach that point, remember this verse. He was here at the beginning and He will be here at the end. He will be here every moment in between. He is not surprised when we reach the point where we are ready to relinquish all control and allow His miracle. In fact, He is waiting with patience. There is a "never give up" quality to His love for you, Friend.

Prayer:

Father of patience and comfort and hope and faith, we are sure of one thing. You have been, are, and will be. No doubt of that.

Without faith it is impossible to please You. No doubt of that.

In Your presence is fullness of joy. No doubt of that.

You created all with Your word and sustain all with Your loving influence. No doubt of that.

Now, I ask You to step into the life of Friend and bring a miracle. No doubt of You.

Bring what no other can bring. No doubt of You.

Cause to happen what has no other explanation than You did it. No doubt of You.

Engage with power and love and soundness of thought for Friend. No doubt of You.

And today there will be no fear, but a peace and a confident reposing faith that You alone can pour over the life of Friend.

No doubt, Friend, no doubt.

Isaiah 41:4d I was there at the beginning; I will be there at the end.  CEV

How is my friend, Friend, doing today?

Proverbs 25:17 Don’t visit friends too often, or they will get tired of it and start hating you.

Well, over the last few months, I have respected this well. We had a little session going on Royal Living in Proverbs 25. That Proverb came from the research of King Hezekiah's men looking for wisdom with which to restore an orderly community. The last missive on this matter was in October. Since then I've been busy working with legislators across the southern United States in prayer. My apologies... Let's get back online.

With email, facebook, linkedin, twitter, slideshare, wordpress, and blogspot I communicate with thousands. Hopefully not too often. Being a bother is being a bother. There are one or two unsubscribes a week. Everyone needs to clean out their inbasket in some manner. No worry.

How do we manage well our communications? The balance of just enough and not too much and not too little certainly requires the wisdom of a good king.

There are people in my life that never communicate. They wait until I call or visit. That would not classify as a friend. In some instances it is blood family. That does not mean they are friends, just related, acquaintances.

There are people in my life that check in once a month. Others once a week. Some who are called, "friend", that never check in.

Maybe we err to the long side on not enough communication. With a shrunken community allowed via the many forms of communication, do we really have an excuse? Do we really have compassion of a friend?

Being an active friend is wisdom. It allows needful interchange at crucial moments. Most of us will only have a few true friends in our lifetime. Treasure them. Balance with them. It is a kingly stature to cultivate good friendship in considerate manner.

Prayer:

Now, Father, You are a great friend. To Moses You talked face to face and Creator to leader. How special You have become to my heart. There is never enough visitation with You. You never turn us away at the door of friendship. Speak to my friend, Friend, today. Visit. Touch the heart. Touch the mind. Touch the body. Stay as long as You wish.  You are one friend, who never can visit too often or too long.

Leaven Leaves Scars

Mark 8:6-15 NKJV So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude. They also had a few small fish; and having blessed them, He said to set them also before them. So they ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets of leftover fragments. Now those who had eaten were about four thousand. And He sent them away, immediately got into the boat with His disciples, and came to the region of Dalmanutha.
Then the Pharisees came out and began to dispute with Him, seeking from Him a sign from heaven, testing Him. But He sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Assuredly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation."
And He left them, and getting into the boat again, departed to the other side. Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, and they did not have more than one loaf with them in the boat. Then He charged them, saying, "Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod."
Simple Story
In this simple story, Jesus takes a trip to Dalmanutha and back in quick time. He intersects with the Pharisees and then leaves to go back to more friendly space and people. Along the journey, he teaches the followers a keen lesson.
Hunger Opens Us To Learn They were gone long enough to get hungry. They had just been fed miraculously. They journeyed and needed bread again. In this hungry condition, they are open for teaching.
One Lesson Teaches Another Jesus refers back to the prior miracle combined with the present need and the present challenge to teach the lesson. Watch for those that practice religion and leave out faith. That leadership spoils good decision making and ruins live.
He invested much time to teach that simple lesson. It is well heeded.
Prayer:
Father, my friend could use the wisdom of the lesson of Jesus.
Guard Friend and allow excellence in leadership to surround.
Give Friend discernment to find and connect with great leaders full of the love of Christ.
